1985年佐賀県生まれ
先天的難病の網膜色素変性症により、埼玉県立大学社会福祉学科卒。20代前半で視力を失う。
幼少より視覚障害による孤独感を感じ、大学在籍7年間・経営コンサルティング会社での激務を経験。2009年に独立。2011年12月に就労困難者の雇用創造を掲げるNPO法人FDA事務局長に就任。2013年3月には症候性癲癇となり新たな使命を抱く。日本唯一の障がい者雇用分野の当事者・福祉の専門家・経営者という三つの立場を生かし、「世界一明るい視覚障害がい者」というキャッチコピーとともに活動中。2016年8月よりその活動が認められ、NPO法人FDAの理事長へ就任。

Born in Saga Prefecture, 1985. Graduated from Insurance Medical Welfare department at Saitama prefectural university. While suffering form retinitis pigmentosa, established a business in 2009 as “The most cheerful visually-challenged person all over the world”. Travels everywhere in Japan, planning consulting or events regarding the employment of challenged people. Took up a post as chief executive at incorporated non-profit organization, FDA since Dec. 1 in 2011.

本日は聴導犬とPCに協力してもらいながら、
袖山さんと楽しい打ち合わせができました。

「英語」という共通言語を用いて聴覚障がいを持つ方と
このようなお話ができてとてもうれしいです。

Today, thanks to the help of a guide dog and a personal computer,
I had good business table conversation with Ms. Sodeyama.

I feel so happy to have conversation with her who have hearing difficulties
using English, that is our common language.
